Habitacles of will [2004]

Habitáculos de la voluntad (Dwellings of the Will), Spanish title of the exhibition, comes from the generic idea of "home" and takes as a reference point the concept of models that existed before the Renaissance. Where excessive rationalization was produced from something that was once full of "aura", these houses were containers used for their mental worlds.

The habitáculos presented in this exhibition are a hybrid of rationalized concepts and dreamlike visions. They are presented as bodies or containers that speak from absence.

To represent (subjectively) the living space, the house, the city, the world—they amalgamate to present the lived-in spaces using models, plans and maps alongside the spaces themselves.
